Viking Quadrant Berserker Shield

Dating back as far as the ninth century, the berserker Norse Warriors were said to be able to do things normal humans could not.  According to ancient legend, the berserkers were indestructible, and no weapon could break them from their trance.  This Viking Quadrant Berserker Shield features a black pre-stained wooden body with a steel boss, rim and metal braces riveted across the shield. The back features a genuine leather arm strap with steel buckle and a comfortable steel handle.  Viking warriors were highly feared across Europe for their brutal attacks and unorthodox for the time weapon of choice, the battle axe. Well known for their close quarter fighting style and berserker’s, most Vikings warriors were modestly armored with only shields like this one.
